Business and How tech is involved
Technology can't be useful to students in the future unless they have a firm grasp on the uses of the technology. Students are challenged to use the lessons that they learn in the context of a business. For the introductory classes all students must come up with a business of their choosing and then fill in the blanks with skills they learn.
Programming languages of different types
We define coding as the learning of different programming languages for the purpose of creating websites or apps. With this purpose in mind youth are not learning code for the sake of saying they know it but for the application of it. At present languages for youth are: HTML, Javascript and Python. More to be added.
Animation and Game Design
The excitement that youth have always gained from video games and animated movies and cartoons is captured in this course. Our trainings take youth from no experience at all in 3D design into experience designers. Students will leave with a knowledge of video games that will challenge them not to just play the games but make their own.
Graphic Design with accessible tools
Everybody loves to look at good graphics whether it's on a screen or in print. In this course we'll teach you how to go to any computer and make all the graphics needed for websites, print or even animation. Students will be career ready in making fantastic presentations all the way to titles for video.
If it makes a sound you'll master it
One fo the senses that adds extra to everything is sound. Whether it be musical effects, sound for movies/TV or sound effects for video games, in this course you'll get a good grasp on how to make your own or create from what you find. This course isn't design for being a DJ although will go over concepts that will be foundational in it.
Making your own videos
Whether it be TV or internet video will add that extra punch. Youtube, TV and movies have created the desire but we'll show you how to take make your own. We'll guide you through the processes used by all of these to create appealing cool videos and have fun doing it.
